Company Directors are in the unique position of being able to
control the size of their employer contributions to their retirement scheme,
subject to affordability. Many Directors do not realise that their company
may be permitted to contribute multiples of current salary. This means that
substantial investment propositions can be effected immediately, and a very
sizeable scheme can be achieved relatively quickly.
If you wish to invest in property through your SSAP, you can
do so either directly by acquiring a property at arm's length utilising
borrowings if necessary (subject to Revenue rules) or alternatively by
investing in a Syndicated Property structure.
A SSAP is established ultimately to provide an income after
employment. Allowing investment in a wide range of sophisticated and
innovative investment products with the aim of maximising your retirement
fund and subsequent income makes the SSAP very attractive to those with a
desire for more than that offered by traditional pension structures.
Along with employer contributions, you can also make
additional contributions from your salary in the form of Additional
Voluntary Contributions. |
